Simple websites
Websites for small businesses, built by hand and hosted for you
Most small businesses need a site that loads fast, looks good on a phone, says what you do and tells people when you're open. That's what I build. No page builder subscription, no plugin updates for you to worry about.
See a demo
demo-bakkerij.kayorama.nl is a landing page for Bakkerij Korrel, a bakery I made up for this purpose. It's in Dutch, like a local site would be. It has the things a real bakery site needs: what's on the shelf today with prices, opening hours, where to find the shop and a form to order bread for the next morning. The business, the address and the prices are all invented, and the order form doesn't send anything.
What you get
- A design that fits your business, not a template everyone else has
- Fast pages: plain HTML and CSS, no heavy frameworks, small images
- Works on phones first, because that's where most of your visitors are
- Basic SEO done properly: titles, descriptions, a sitemap, clean headings
- A working contact or order form that lands in your inbox
- An SSL certificate and hosting on my server in the EU
Prices
| Landing page | One page, up to 6 sections, contact form | $300 |
|---|---|---|
| Small business site | Up to 5 pages, contact form and map | $500 |
| Hosting and care | Hosting, SSL, backups, small text changes | $25 or $49/mo |
How it goes
- You send your text, photos and logo, or tell me what you have and I'll help with the rest.
- I build a first version on a test address like the demo above, usually within a week.
- You ask for changes. Two rounds are included.
- We point your domain at it and it goes live.
Your domain stays yours
Domain registration isn't included. If you already own one, I'll tell you which DNS record to add. If you don't, you buy it in your own name, so you never depend on me to keep it. You can also start on a free subdomain and move later.
Full package details are on the home page.
